So sad to hear of Petes passing. We started at the same time as technical trainees at Heywood Williams in Birkby and the training school down at Leeds Road under Ken Hanson. We both shared a love of messing about with old cars, doing them up as best we could. After leaving Heywoods after a year or so, as  it wasn't for me, I lost contact with Pete and often wondered what he had got up to in the intervening years.

I can still remember and still smile when Pete one day at training school was mucking about, and decided to show us his version of a human flame thrower. Needless to say we all laughed when the small flame blowing out of Pete's mouth sent a few of his tash hairs rolling up into little balls, as he quickly patted the flame out.

Where have the years gone!
